Powder coating booths

A powder coating booth contains the spray cloud, pulls it through a recovery unit and returns clean air to the shop. We build three kinds: a cyclone manual booth for job coaters, a cartridge-filter booth where floor space is short, and automatic booths with robots or reciprocators on conveyor lines.

Cyclone or cartridge-filter recovery. Manual and robotic. 12,000 m³/h extraction, 1.5 mm AISI 430 body

What it is for

Parts and situations this category is built for.

  • Steel and aluminium parts hung from a conveyor or a rack: frames, panels, profiles, enclosures, furniture, brackets
  • Manual booths: parts up to the opening height and a length the operator can reach from two sides
  • Automatic booths: series parts with a repeatable hanging pattern

Who buys this

The buyer groups we most often size this category for.

  • Job coaters replacing a booth or adding a second colour
  • OEMs bringing coating in-house
  • Extruders and line builders integrating a booth into a new line

Questions we get before the quote

Answered in full. The sizing guide goes deeper. Sizing guide

Cyclone or cartridge filter: which recovery is right for me?

A cyclone separates most of the overspray mechanically and sends only fine dust to the after-filter, which makes colour changes fast: empty the hopper, blow down the walls, continue. A cartridge-filter booth captures everything on the cartridges; it is more compact and cheaper to build, and it suits shops that run one or two colours. If you change colour more than a few times a week, take the cyclone.

How big does the booth have to be?

The opening must clear the tallest part plus its hanger with room to spare; the booth length gives the operator space to spray both ends; the depth follows the part width plus the spray distance. Our standard manual booth is 3,000 x 2,200 x 1,400 mm. Send the largest part and we size from there.

What extraction do I need?

Extraction follows the open area of the booth times the face velocity that keeps powder inside; our standard booth is designed for 0.5 m/s at low pressure, which gives 12,000 m³/h from a 4 kW fan. Larger openings need more air, and the filter count follows the airflow.

Can the booth be moved later?

Yes. The body is built knock-down and bolted, so it can be dismantled, moved and reassembled. We also offer this as a service for whole lines.

Quote for powder coating booths

Send the largest part, the quantity per shift and the line speed if you have one. Drawings help; photographs of the parts are enough to start.
