Pretreatment lines
Pretreatment removes oil, dirt and rust and leaves a conversion layer the coating can bond to. We build spray washing tunnels for conveyorised lines, dip tanks for batch work and tunnel washers for continuous flow, each followed by a drying oven so the part reaches the booth dry and warm.

Questions we get before the quote
Answered in full. The sizing guide goes deeper. Sizing guide
How many stages do I need?
A two-stage spray line (degrease, rinse) is the minimum for clean steel that will be coated the same day; iron phosphate or a zirconium conversion coat adds one to two stages and rinses; architectural aluminium to a durability class adds an etch and a conversion stage. The example line on the Turnkey powder coating plant page has two stages; yours follows the corrosion class you must reach.
Spray tunnel or dip tanks?
Spray suits continuous lines and open shapes; dip suits batch work and parts with cavities the spray cannot reach. Many lines combine a dip degrease with spray rinses.
