U-turn oven
The U-turn oven is a tunnel oven whose conveyor enters and leaves on the same side, so the oven needs about half the hall length of a straight tunnel for the same dwell time. We have built an 11 m U-turn oven on a 3-inch web conveyor. Cross-section and heating follow the part and the line speed.
| Example length | 11 m |

| Layout | Entry and exit on the same side |
| Heating | Thermoblock |

Technical data
The table shows the standard size. Values marked per project are set from your part and line and appear in the proposal, with the drawing for your size.

How we size it
Dwell time and line speed set the developed length exactly as for the straight tunnel; the U-turn then folds that length into two legs. The turn radius follows the longest part, which sets the width of the oven.
What it is for
- Tight layouts
- Lines loaded and unloaded at the same point
Options
- Gas-fired or electric thermoblock
- Air curtains
- Cooling zone at the exit leg
Standards
